Abhishek is a Principal, Private Investments at S45, bringing a blend of finance, trading and technology to help identify and scale high potential investment opportunities. His work spans alternative investments, proprietary trading and investment banking, with a strong focus on data driven decision making and automation.

He began his career at Edelweiss, advising HNIs and UHNIs on AIFs and PMS products. The exposure to high stakes investing early on shaped his understanding of risk, portfolio construction and disciplined capital allocation. Driven by a deep interest in trading, he went on to build AR Quants, a proprietary trading desk that scaled from zero to 20 crore rupees in AUM within three months. Specialising in derivatives trading on the MFT side, he eventually grew the portfolio to 5 million dollars while building strong technical and risk management frameworks.

During the COVID era, Abhishek founded Iris Capital, an investment banking boutique focused on Series C to pre-IPO transactions. He executed large scale deals and built a wide investor network across growth funds, family offices and strategic investors. Along the way, he taught himself to code, integrating automation into trading systems and improving execution, modelling and risk efficiency. The combination of finance, quantitative thinking and technology has shaped his approach to evaluating businesses and structuring investments.

At S45, Abhishek focuses on sourcing, evaluating and scaling private market opportunities, working closely with founders to build clear financial narratives and strong unit economics. More than just an investor, he brings an operator’s mindset, with experience in building profitable ventures from the ground up. Outside of work, he enjoys surfing and adventure sports, bringing the same balance of risk and intuition to life that he brings to markets.
