Akash Roy
Senior Associate
Akash is a Senior Associate in the Founders’ Office at S45, where he bridges investment banking rigor with operational agility to support founders across fundraising, go to market strategy and organizational growth. He works at the intersection of investments, marketing, investor relations and culture, helping translate vision into clear strategy and capital momentum.
He brings over three years of investment banking experience from Citi, where he worked on healthcare and consumer mandates totalling more than 4 billion dollars across fundraising and IPO transactions. Before Citi, he spent time in quantitative risk at Morgan Stanley, building models for climate risk assessment and regulatory credit submissions. A top ranked Mining Engineering graduate from IIT Kharagpur, Akash developed a strong mix of technical modelling, sector research and advisory skills through roles at Morgan Stanley, DBS, Equirus and IDFC AMC during his undergraduate years.
What sets Akash apart is his ability to operate across the full deal lifecycle, from valuation and positioning to capital storytelling. His healthcare transaction work gave him deep insight into founder psychology and how to turn operational complexity into clear, compelling narratives. As Placement Coordinator at IIT Kharagpur during the first wave of COVID, he designed the institute’s first virtual recruitment process and led a team of 30 to facilitate 30 million dollars in placement offers, sharpening his instincts for high stakes coordination and structured execution.
At S45, Akash works across the firm’s core functions, shaping investment theses, building relationships with capital partners and refining how the firm and its portfolio show up in the market. He brings a disciplined approach to evaluating opportunities while ensuring the operating infrastructure keeps pace with growth. Outside of work, he unwinds by shooting air pistols at paper targets, which he finds far less stressful than aiming for billion dollar valuations.
